30 Days: Sample Day 1
“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” —Dr. Seuss
What did you eat for lunch on this date last month? Yeah, I can’t remember either. I know I ate, and I’m almost certain there was meat involved. I just can’t really remember. But I can tell you where I took my wife for our anniversary dinner last year.
Would you rather have more special anniversary dinners or routine lunches? It’s impractical to have festive, celebratory meals every day. Yet what would life be like if we took that approach with every meal—even more, what if we took that approach to every moment? Could every moment become one to savor over and over again, even if only in our memories?
You and I can directly impact the outcome of our moments, more than anyone else can. We can make every encounter pleasant regardless of how it starts. Entering into a moment looking for a memory is living a God-filled life. Our every moment can become a memory made with God.
Consider This
- What is your most precious memory?
- What might it look like to live every moment by looking to make a memory with God?
Take Action
For one month, take some time for quiet at the end of the day and write down your memories from that day.
