God Works for Good

The Golden Nugget: God is always working for the good of those who love him.

Daily Verse: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” —Romans 8:28

Daily Message:

The Bible reveals that God’s desire is to be in a committed relationship with us. It teaches that God makes available all His resources for the people who love Him—and works for their good in all things. This does not mean that God loves only those who love Him. It means that a loving relationship with God provides divine strength to endure life’s struggles.

And that’s the beauty of this teaching! You do not have to know the most Scripture for God to work for your good. You don’t have to be the most moral person, or the most benevolent, or the most peaceful, or the most holy, or the most “Christian.” It’s much easier than that. All you have to do is love God.

God is always with you. You don’t have to jump through hoops to reach Him. And He is ready to do everything for your good.

Consider This:

  • In what ways is it possible for good things to result from bad experiences?
  • What do you think God wants people to do with the good he works for them?

Take Action:

Do two “good things” tomorrow: one for someone who you usually do good things for and one for someone you don’t know. Which “good thing” did you find more rewarding?
