Daily Message:

I love new things. Most people do. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that “anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” From God’s point of view, you have changed; in his eyes, you are a brand-new person.

Whatever was in your past, God has put it behind you. Your identity is no longer shaped by your mistakes, for you have been washed clean of your sins.

Here are some of the immediate changes that took place when you decided to become a follower of Jesus. Before you said yes to Jesus Christ you were separated from God, unsure of your eternal destiny, and had little interest in God’s plans for you. Now you are in relationship with God, gaining confidence that you will spend forever with him, and interested in knowing his plans for your life.

God’s creative process is far from over in you, however. That’s what a “new creation” means—a new project. You have been made new now that Christ has entered your life, and his potential in you is limitless!

More changes are on the way. But for today, celebrate your new life!
