Golden Nugget: Jesus comes into your life by invitation only.

Daily Message:

When you stand before God at the end of your earthly life, where you spend eternity will be determined only by what you did with Jesus Christ while you were alive on earth. Simply put, if you accepted Christ and his payment for your sins, you will spend eternity in heaven with God. If you rejected Christ, you will spend eternity without God. 

But in this life, God will not force himself on you. He knocks at the door of your life waiting to be invited inside. He comes inside by invitation only. Jesus promises us this: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”

If you have invited Christ in and trusted him to pay for your sins—believing that he rose again from the dead—and received him into your life, you have been given eternal life. You have joined God’s family. God wants you to be confident of that and to count on it as fact.
